project 365 - day 94

These beautiful flowers were given to my by Angela after Relay. Okay, so she didn't actually pick them out for me or anything, the garden club that had had a booth was unloading their extras and she had a whole bucket of them. But they are pretty, damnit! Nicole keeps saying they are from my boyfriend, Kyle. LOL.

project 365 - day 93

Nicole wanted to take my pic for a change. I do not often allow this. Now you can see why.

project 365 - day 92

Another precious smile from Nicole, despite the fact that she's likely bored at baseball practice.

project 365 - day 91

This is the breaking down of the Relay for Life campsite. For those not familiar, Relay is an overnight event (18 hours total) where everyone camps out and someone walks all night long from each Relay team. I think there were 44 or so teams at our location. I did a lot of night walking. It was cool, the luminarias were burning and it was quiet. Good time for thinking and also jamming out to my iPod.

project 365 - day 90

This photo is from Relay for Life over in Temple Terrace. Angela, my girlfriend who runs Henry's Angels, was nice enough to let me join their relay team and come hang with them. It was a fabulous time and we did a great job raising money in the fight against cancer!

project 365 - day 89

I got this awesome painting from Dee at Wilton-Faraway and got it framed. It goes so well in our Dining Room, since we also have the French cafe scene in there, too. And Perry even liked it. In fact, he picked where to put it!

project 365 - day 87

I didn't make this one, but isn't it adorable? My girlfriend Jan over at Sweet Whimsey made this - an altered clipboard - and I had to have it. Naturally.

project 365 - day 87

I am not even quite sure what you call these, but they are also from Southern Living. Just decorative plates or something maybe. Anyway, these are hanging in the dining room above the doorway into the kitchen.

project 365 - day 86

Alright, this is more Southern Living stuff, or actually just the little container holding the potpourri is. There is a second smaller one of these over on the bar, too. Loving it!

project 365 - day 84

We went to see an outdoor showing of Raiders of the Lost Ark with Ravi and fam. It was pretty cool, despite the screen blowing over (really) in the middle of the movie, and it being INSANE cold by the end. The kids had a good time. Cole feel asleep on top of my towards the end. Which kept me warmer, so win-win.

project 365 - day 83

Jefferson is one of the messiest eaters on the planet. Sammy cat was like that, too. They leave behind a whole collection of food that somehow missed their mouth. I thought cats were supposed to be neat? Of course this one also has no problem with crapping on the floor, too. Which I also thought cats didn't do. Apparently he's special like that.

project 365 - day 82

Alright, so maybe I'm crazy, but I joined Thirty-One and Southern Living at Home. Mostly because I wanted the starter kits. Something we in the biz call "kit-napping". I know, I'm outta control. I won't mention yet the other various companies I've joined for this lately. ANYway, I am having a great time decorating my house with all the various stuff I've gotten from these companies. In this pic is an adorable decor letter R from Thirty-One and the GIANT candle stand behind it from Southern Living. Too cute!! I'll snap more shots of other stuff in the coming days.

project 365 - day 81

Sherbert doesn't so much lay down as he does drape himself over things. Usually with his head hanging over an edge. He likes to do this a lot on counters and one the top of the cat climbing thing. I need to get a shot of that, actually. It's pretty adorable.

project 365 - day 80

Only 80 days into the year. Not sure if I'm going to make it. lol.

Owen working on some homework. Not his favorite thing in the world to do.

project 365 - day 79

Another shot of Nicole doing one of her favorite things, playing Webkinz on the computer. She is way more into that than she is into her DS.

project 365 - day 78

When I took this picture I had no idea what it was. I was leaving the grocery store and saw it and thought it was so odd, I had to take a pic of it. It was all kinds of strange colors, which it's hard to see in the pic. When I got home I realized it had been the smoke and such from the shuttle launch. And here I was all ready to tell Perry we'd been invaded by aliens or something. Oh well.

project 365 - day 77

Another random shot from the car, this time of Owen. He's got a new thing where he tries to look tough, and it makes me giggle.

project 365 - day 76

I have fallen behind in my posting. I am about to try to play catch up a bit and post several days worth of pics. God help me, this is a very difficult project to keep up with!!!

This shot is a random of Nicole in the car being silly. Really pleased with how far she's come in having her picture taken! :)

project 365 - day 75

I had been coveting this purse so I decided to buy it. All in all I love it, though it's quite a bit larger than I'm used to. Hopefully this will not mean that I will manage to fill it with excess stuff that I don't need. But I think we all probably know better than that!

project 365 - day 74

I completed my Scrapbook Treasure Hunt yesterday, so I figured tonight I would take a pic of the things I bought along the way. It seems like it's not quite as much as last year, which would make sense, I guess, since there are fewer stores participating this year. All in all, I am a little bit glad to be done but also a little bit sad. It was so much fun seeing what all everyone had!
Since you can't tell what anything is in the pic, here is a general breakdown:
  • 1 12x12 album
  • 79 sheets of paper
  • 8 bottles of stickles
  • 2 paint daubers
  • 9 assorted alphabets
  • 6 things of various adhesive
  • 5 pens
  • 41 assorted packs of embellishments

See, all in all that seems like practically nothing, huh? I might have to revisit some of these stores!

project 365 - day 73

Today at work I got the sweetest thing - this beautiful basket from one of the other departments that I created a website for. It was so nice of them to do that! I was so bummed that I didn't have my camera with me today for the first time in forever, so I was determined that it would remain unopened until I could get home and take a decent picture of it. Not easy to do when you work with all guys. But it survived and I even kept Perry away from it till I got my picture!

project 365 - day 72

When I picked the kids up today, Owen was carrying Nicole's backpack for her. Not sure what she did to warrant such service, but it was nice of him nonetheless. I wish he acted like that more often to her, but oh well. I guess I (and she) will take what we can get!

Sunday, March 8, 2009

project 365 - day 71

Nicole passed out on the couch after another long day in little girl land, and we decided to leave her there. Right with Jefferson, which he didn't seem to mind.

Saturday, March 7, 2009

project 365 - day 70

Owen, taken in the car. This is his latest pose. Nicole says he looks like a college student when he does it. LOL.

Friday, March 6, 2009

project 365 - day 69

A beautiful smile from my beautiful girl. And then she told me "enough with the pictures". That's my girl.

project 365 - day 67

Another in the Nicole Artwork series. It's hard to tell, what with the awesome backdrop of a Captain Crunch box, but it's a turkey. And a damn fine one if I do say so myself. She was supposed to glue it so it stood up on the box, like the box was a base, essentially, but she glued the whole thing to the box and was so pleased with it, I didn't have the heart to tell her it was not as was intended.

project 365 - day 66

Yes, this is my hand. What an exciting picture, you're thinking. Well, we took it at work because we needed a hand for a poster we're creating. And my nails looked good, so we went with mine. lol. Luckily we could photoshop out all the cat scratches and such on it.

project 365 - day 65

Owen has a pretty good talent for drawing. One of the things he draws most often are creatures from the sea. Perhaps because of the SpongeBob thing, I don't know. But he's actually quite good at it. This is a photo of some of his art. He tends to draw a lot of sharks and crabs...again, don't know why. And this time since Nicole and I were playing with the craft stuff, he decided to put jiggly eyes on them, too.

project 365 - day 64

Nicole went on a craft kick, so I expect there will be several upcoming pictures of her "art". These are those things called "God's Eyes" that you make with yard and popsicle sticks. Kind of silly, but kind of cute, too.
