My mom picked up this cute rain gauge for me from a Southern Living party we went to. She thought it might be fun for the kids to track how much rain we get. Of course, prior to getting this, we were getting monsoon quality rain storms pretty much daily, and now nothing. So I guess that's the secret, if you want rain, it doesn't happen. Oh well. It's pretty anyway. Hopefully Perry won't run it down with the lawn mower.

project 365 - day 276
I adore this new thermal tote from Thirty-One. I just had to have it, even though I have several of the Thermals already. I am thinking this one will be a big hit at the Florida Boxer Rescue event I'm doing in November.

project 365 - day 275
This is one of the newest products by Efusjon, and I have to say this one is my new favorite! I love the purple, but this one is beyond delish! Perry says the can looks like Miami Vice, but it's still his favorite now, too.

project 365 - day 274
This is the new organizing wallet from Thirty-One. I have been on the fence about this one, because it's hard to tell in the catalog how big it is, etc. It comes with it's own strap, for when you want to carry it by itself, so I figured that meant it would be big. But it'd been getting rave reviews, so I figured I had to check it out. Just got it and haven't used it yet, but it's actually a nice size, not too big but you'd be able to fit everything you need in it!

project 365 - day 272
I have been trying for awhile to figure out how to handle the recyclable cans and bottles in the house. We have recycle bins in the garage, out by the trash cans, but I find it to be a huge PITA to walk to the garage every time I finish a soda. And I don't like how Perry keeps on setting empties on the counter, with the thought that he'll take them out later (which never happens) so I finally decided to put a bag for them under the kitchen sink. I got this bag somewhere (Gold Canyon, maybe?) free with an order I placed forever ago, and it hadn't been used yet, just in one of my "bags" drawers in the closet, so I am excited to put it to use. MUCH better system. Loving it!

project 365 - day 271
In an attempt to keep the laundry room cleaner and store some stuff away, I picked up an unfinished storage bench from BareWood and painted it red. There are other touches of red in the room, so it looks really good. And it's a great place for me to stash my spare purses (cause yes, I do sometimes change purses every day) and to stash Perry's array of crap.

project 365 - day 270
After this vase sitting empty for months, I finally picked up some flowers for it. I still need to get more, but I haven't decided exactly what. These are just from Michael's, so I can pick them up whenever. I'll just wait and buy a couple more stems with the weekly 40% off coupons. Eventually it'll be a complete arrangement.

project 365 - day 269
Many know that I just love turtles. I love a lot of animals, really. But I just think turtles are pretty kick ass. Which, I guess, is why I have two of them. Anyway, I saw this pendant and had to pick it up, and I've been trying to decide what to make with it for awhile, and finally came up with this. I don't actually own a ton of green clothing, but green seemed like the right choice to use for something with a turtle pendant, so I went for it.

project 365 - day 268
After my last one going strong for ten whole years, I finally had to break down and buy a new electric toothbrush. Naturally I'd replaced the brush heads many times over the years, but the unit itself had always done the job. But recently it'd stopped holding a charge, so I picked this one up at Sam's. Same brand, but much newer model. So far so good. We'll see if this one lasts me another ten.

project 365 - day 267
This year we decided to do Owen's birthday party at the rollerskating rink, and it was definitely one of the most fun parties I think we've had so far. And by FAR the most reasonably priced. It was so cute, because all the boys at the beginning were having a tough time skating, and totally holding the wall, but by the end they were zipping around the place like they'd been doing it forever! SUCH a good time was had by all!

project 365 - day 266
Our boys, getting ready to kick some butt at this week's (far)away game. I do love football season, but I will be glad when I don't have to get up and drive over an hour at 7am on a Saturday morning. I don't quite get why it is that all the far away games always seem to be US driving, rather than the other team coming to us. Not fair!!

project 365 - day 265
Yet another hidden space in my home that could use some attention. This is under my sink in the master bathroom. I just like stuff. I shop. I can't help it. Gotta put it somewhere, right? But I do think perhaps I've met my quota for the year on soaps and lotions and other such yummy smelling body products. Ya think?

project 365 - day 264
At my Heart Link Meeting last night, I won one of the raffles, for a basket of handmade soaps from FL Soap Co. They smell so yummy and I can't wait to try them! And I took the basket and put in some of the other soaps that I had under the sink so now I've got quite the assortment of soaps waiting thier turn to get used up!

project 365 - day 263
Yet another Sherbert photo. I think I take so many pics of him because I so envy him his relaxing lifestyle. I used to think I would want to come back as a dog in my next life, but more and more I'm leaning toward cat. They literally do NOTHING all day, and can get loved on whenever they want. What better life could there be?

project 365 - day 258
I really should have done a before picture, because truly it was terrible, but here is an after picture of my efforts in straightening up the garage. I am pleased, but I know it's only a matter of time (a couple weeks, likely) before it's a complete disaster again. Oh well. Once it cools off for good, we need to seriously go through it and make some progress on it. I miss parking my car in there! lol

project 365 - day 257
This is my new attempt at keeping something alive. I can keep the kids and animals alive, no problem, because they actually let me know when they need to be fed. Not so much with plants, but I'll give it another go. The bucket is, of course, from Thirty-One. I thought this would make such a cute addition to the front porch!

project 365 - day 255
As promised, the hard case Dot Dot wallet from Thirty-One, to go with yesterday's purse photo. We actually have a large line of items in this print in our fall catalog, and they are all just so cute. This one coordinates, too, with the Medallion Vine print, which I might just love even a little bit more than Dot Dot.

Yet another purse. I can't help it, I can't resist a deal and I love cute stuff. Go figure on that, huh? Of COURSE it's from Thirty-One. Our new Dot Dot Accent Purse. LOVE it. Not sure why it's sideways, and I can't seem to flip it, though. Oh well. Stay tuned for tomorrow's picture of the coordinating hard case wallet. Super cute.

Little Little Lil, the least photographed of all the animals. She spends most of her time in the closet in my bedroom. Social she's not. Based on her, and the only other female animal we've had, Sammy cat, I've come to believe that female critters are just not as friendly as male critters. Perhaps that's because all males have a burning desire to be the center of attention and forever validated. Granted, this hasn't been a scientific study or anything, just my own observations.

project 365 - day 249
Rico has an obsession with the kitty cats. Of the three, Jefferson is most likely to play with him, and least likely to attempt to kick his doggie ass for messing with him. They've even been known to curl up together. But shhh...don't tell the other cats, or I am sure Jeff would lose some cool points with them for fraternizing with a dog.

project 365 - day 248
I picked this up from Thirty-One so that I would have something to bring my jewelry on when I travel (most specifically, on the upcoming cruise). Those that know me know I am a huge jewelry freak - I probably buy or make something new pretty much every week. So I imagine I'll be bringing quite a bit with me on the cruise. Woohoo!
